Imran Khan is reading these books in jail

The federal government has refuted the allegations made by the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan regarding access to legal counsel.

In a recent submission to the Supreme Court, the government presented additional documents to counter the claims made by the PTI founder.

Included in these documents are photographs showing the PTI founder meeting with his lawyers at Adiala Jail. The government also denied the claim that the PTI founder is being held in solitary confinement.

It stated that he has had regular meetings with his legal team and other visitors.

The PTI founder had argued in the Supreme Court that he was being denied access to his lawyers. In their statement, the government suggested that if the court deems it necessary, it could appoint a commission to investigate and verify the claims made by Imran Khan against the presented facts.

Moreover, the government stated that the PTI founder is provided with all essential facilities in jail, including books, an air cooler, and a television, ensuring his comfort and well-being during his detention.

  • Pakistan: A Hard Country by Anatol Lieven
  • The Vision Of Islam by Sachiko Murata
  • Ideals and Realities of Islam by Seyyed Hossein Nasr

It is pertinent to mention that due to the quality of the images, some books can’t be identified.
