Former Prime Minister Imran Khan faces fresh legal trouble as he has been arrested in connection with a new case registered at New Town Police Station, Rawalpindi, shortly after securing bail in the Toshakhana 2 case.
The arrest is tied to a case alleging rioting, stone-pelting, obstruction of law enforcement, and damage to public property. The charges stem from incidents that reportedly involved violent clashes, resistance against police, and vandalism of government assets.
As per Rawalpindi Police, the new case has been registered against Imran Khan under multiple sections of the Anti-Terrorism Act (7ATA and 21-I ATA) alongside sections 353, 186, 285, 286, 148, 149, 427, 109, and 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code. Authorities have highlighted the inclusion of terrorism-related provisions, reflecting the severity of the accusations.

A special investigation team, led by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for Investigations, is conducting a detailed inquiry into the allegations. The team has begun interrogating Khan, and further developments are expected as the investigation progresses.
Officials confirmed that Imran Khan will be presented in court tomorrow to seek physical remand, allowing authorities to deepen their probe into the matter.
