WEB DESK: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan has decided to soften his rigid stance, instructing party leaders to engage in dialogue both inside and outside the Parliament to alleviate ongoing political tensions, reported by Geo News.

Sources indicated that the PTI leadership plans to engage in discussions with various political parties outside the Parliament, while its lawmakers will strengthen relations with parties in the ruling coalition government.

Furthermore, this decision followed Khan’s interaction with Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa during a Supreme Court hearing. In the hearing regarding National Accountability Bureau (NAB) law amendments, Chief Justice Isa encouraged Khan to return to Parliament to help resolve Pakistan’s issues, emphasising the need for the country to progress.

Khan, speaking via video link from Adiala Jail where he has been detained since August 2023, expressed grievances about political “victimization” since his removal from power in April 2022.

The former prime minister has authorized a three-member party committee to establish contact with the establishment, sources said. Additionally, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur is involved in behind-the-scenes communications, they added.

Sources revealed that PTI has decided to support the state for political and economic stability to reduce tensions. “The party will proceed by negotiating various matters, including committees of the Senate and National Assembly,” sources stated.
