ISLAMABAD: Aleema Khan, sister of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, stated on Thursday outside Adiala Jail that Imran Khan has confirmed plans to hold a protest on November 24, regardless of the circumstances.
Talking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Aleema Khan said that more than 200 cases were filed against Imran Khan over two and a half years. He said that he is constantly being told that Imran Khan is trying to make a “deal”, but if that were the case, he would not have been in jail for so long.
Aleema Khan further said that the Islamabad High Court had accepted Imran Khan’s bail plea on merit in the Tosha Khana case, after which she felt that he should have been granted bail in all cases and released.
However, Imran Khan was re-arrested last night in a “ridiculous case.” The PTI founder has said that there will be a protest on November 24 anyway.
Aleema Khan confirmed that Imran Khan has called for a protest on November 24, for the “rule of law”, independence of the judiciary, and the release of all political prisoners.
He appealed to Pakistan and overseas Pakistanis not to listen to any false information and came out for a protest on November 24. Aleema Khan said that this protest is for the rights of the people of the country, and people should participate in this movement by being the voice of the leader of PTI.
