ISLAMABAD: Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Barrister Gohar and Spokesperson PTI Rauf Hasan appeared in Federal Investigation Agency Cybercrime today regarding the tweeting of an anti-state video from Imran Khan’s Twitter account.
According to sources, Barrister Gohar was interrogated for about 2 hours while Rauf Hasan was interrogated for 4 hours. The sources say that during the inquiry, Barrister Gohar informed the investigating officer that they were unaware of who operates Imran Khan’s social media account.
While regarding the contentious video content, Gohar Khan suggested that the conflict should not escalate to a certain extent, and we should find a peaceful solution to it.
The sources claim that Barrister Gohar was not definitively in agreement with uploading the contentious video due to concerns. Gohar Khan confirmed that Jabran Elias and Azhar Mashwani handle social media accounts and are primarily responsible for its policies and video production.

In addition, when asked why the party formulated social media policies concerning individuals residing abroad, Barrister Gohar couldn’t provide a satisfactory explanation, stating that these matters were resolved before their party’s inclusion.
Meanwhile, PTI spokesperson Raoof Hassan, while responding to inquiry questions, stated that social media leadership falls under Jabran Elias’s responsibility, and he is accountable for it. They lack information based on which the video was uploaded.
Furthermore, regarding the question of whether the current military leadership’s image is being portrayed similarly, Raoof Hassan stated that they will address these issues in the party’s official notice and gather responses.
According to sources, Omar Ayub did not appear for the inquiry and sent his lawyer, upon which he will receive another notice.
