Speaking on the latest episode of his popular TV show Kaun Banega Crorepati (season 16), Bachchan recalled his unexpected meeting with Jackson while staying at a hotel in New York several years ago.
Bachchan recounted that there was a knock at his door, and to his astonishment, Michael Jackson was standing outside. “I was stunned to see him in person and nearly lost consciousness,” Bachchan said, describing his overwhelming reaction to meeting the global superstar. The incident occurred when Jackson, unaware he was at the wrong room, asked if it was Bachchan’s. After realising his mistake, Jackson politely left. However, he later sent a message to Bachchan, inviting him for a conversation, and the two spent time together.
Reflecting on the encounter, Bachchan praised Jackson for his humility, noting that despite his worldwide fame, the singer remained “incredibly humble and kind.”
Michael Jackson, who passed away in 2009, remains a towering figure in global music, with his legacy continuing to inspire fans around the world.
