Huawei has launched the Mate XT Ultimate, a tri-fold smartphone that redefines flexibility and screen size.

Design and Display

The Mate XT Ultimate features a sophisticated folding mechanism with two hinges, expanding to a generous 10.2-inch display. Despite its complex design, it maintains a slim profile at just 3.6 mm thick and weighs 298 grams.

The device has a flexible LTPO OLED display offering a 120Hz refresh rate and 10 billion colors, with dynamic resolutions ranging from 3,184 x 2,232 to 2,232 x 1,008 pixels, depending on the folding state.

Performance and Software

Powered by a flagship-grade SoC, the Mate XT Ultimate comes with 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage, though it lacks expandable memory. Running on HarmonyOS 4.2, the device supports various AI features such as voice-to-text, automatic split-screen, and real-time document translation. However, it does not include Google services.

Camera System

The camera setup includes a 50 MP main sensor with adjustable aperture, a 12 MP telephoto lens with 5.5x optical zoom, and a 12 MP ultra-wide-angle camera. An 8 MP front camera is discreetly integrated into the display, serving as the primary selfie camera.

Battery and Pricing

The Mate XT Ultimate boasts a 5,600 mAh battery with 66W wired and 50W wireless fast charging capabilities. It is available in Black and Red with gold accents and is priced at $2,800 for the 256 GB model, $3,100 for 512 GB, and $3,400 for the 1 TB version.
