LAHORE: Nawaz Sharif, the supremo of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), posed the issue on Saturday of how three individuals could disqualify the leader of a nation of 25 million people and revoke their right to vote.
Nawaz while addressing the meeting of party’s central Working Committee said that I was declared ineligible for not receiving a salary of 10,000 dirhams from my son.
He further said that not only was he removed from the government, but he was also removed from the party presidency.
Nawaz Sharif recounted that after coming into power in 2013, the first person he met was the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). He informed him that the allegations of rigging were unfounded and suggested they work together for the country’s betterment.

However, subsequently, the founder of PTI, along with Tahirul Qadri and Zahirul Islam, went to London, where a conspiracy was hatched against his government. Sharif also mentioned that he had prevented the police from using force against the sit-ins in 2014.
The former Prime Minister further stated that if they had opposed it, PTI would not have been able to form the government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in 2013. He mentioned that he advised Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman to let the single largest party form the government. However, Fazlur Rehman responded that this decision would not be correct at that time.
