When the 11th generation Honda Civic was introduced in Pakistan in 2022, it was available in three variants: the base model at PKR 50.99 lac, the Oriel at PKR 53.99 lac, and the flagship RS variant at PKR 61.49 lac. Over time, due to factors like increased taxes, the depreciation of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar, and other economic challenges, these prices have nearly doubled.
This sharp increase in price led to the Civic becoming the slowest-selling model in Honda’s 30-year history in Pakistan. While 5,693 units were sold between March and December 2022, sales dropped significantly in 2023, with only 1,967 units sold during the entire year.
