KARACHI:Pakistani actress Hira Soomro recently said in a podcast that she would be okay if her husband wants to have multiple wives.
She mentioned that if her husband decides to marry again, she would have no objections, as long as he valued her and took care of her and their children’s needs.
The actress, famous for her role in the hit drama Tere Bin, shared her views on the topic of men being allowed to marry up to four women. She stated that both law and religion permit it and that it is preferable to engage in “haraam” actions.
She added that if a man is capable of treating multiple wives fairly and can afford it, then there should be no issue with him having more than one wife.
The actress also discussed the modern challenges women face, such as balancing independence, managing a home, raising children, and sometimes trying to control their husband’s actions. She said it is tough to juggle all these responsibilities, so women should not try to control their husbands.
She emphasized that women should not worry about how many marriages they have, as long as the man is fulfilling the needs of both the woman and her children.
