HEC announces USAID-funded MDCAT coaching program

The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) has announced the USAID-funded Talent Hunt Program (THP) for preparing deserving students for the Medical and Dental Colleges Admission Test (MDCAT).

The program provides free coaching classes and a daily stipend to talented students who are unable to pursue higher education or apply for admission to top Pakistani universities due to financial constraints, allowing them to attend professional entry test preparation workshops.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Pakistani/AJ&K national
  • Belonging to a low-income family
  • Obtained  70% or higher in Intermediate Part-I / Part-II

How to Apply:

  • Submit applications online at https://talenthunt.hec.gov.pk/
  • Applications will be reviewed by the HEC Committee to assess eligibility.
  • Merit list will be compiled based on academic records and needs-based criteria.
  • Top candidates will receive offer letters depending on available slots.

Program Covers:

  • Daily stipend of PKR 1500
  • Mock test conducted after preparatory workshop
  • Hostel facility available at selected centers
