By According to the weather report from the Met Office, a westerly wave is expected to enter western parts of Pakistan on April 24th and gradually affect most upper regions by April 26th.
As this weather system moves across the country, Balochistan is likely to experience rainfall, including a few heavy falls, from April 24th to 27th. Similarly, Peshawar and various districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will receive rainfall from April 25th to 29th, with intermittent breaks.
Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir are forecasted to receive rainfall from April 26th to 29th, also with occasional breaks. In Punjab and the federal capital Islamabad, rainfall is anticipated from April 26th to 29th, with southern Punjab districts experiencing rain from April 26th to 28th.
Isolated hailstorms are expected in Sukkur, Jacobabad, Kashmore, Larkana, Dadu, Qambar-Shahdad Kot, Jamshoro, and Sanghar districts of Sindh on April 25th and 26th.
Additionally, isolated moderate to heavy rainfall may lead to flash floods in local nullahs/streams in Balochistan, particularly in Noushki, Pishin, Harnai, Zhob, Barkhan, Gwadar, Kech, and Awaran on April 26th and 27th. Similarly, areas in KP such as Dir, Swat, Chitral, Manshera, and Kohistan, along with parts of Kashmir, may experience flash floods on April 27th and 28th.
There is a possibility of landslides in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galiyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan, affecting vulnerable locations from April 27th to 29th.
