WEB DESK: Pakistani actress Hania Aamir has ignited a social media backlash after sharing a video featuring her hugging Indian singer and rapper Badshah.
The video is not of a restaurant or house but of Badshah’s concert in which Hania Aamir also participated and while appreciating this, Badshah hugged Hania Aamir and called her name on the mic and asked the fans to clap as well.
Hania Aamir shared the video and wrote, ‘This is my very best friend and also a great rock star, a hero’.
Although Hania Aamir and Badshah’s friendship was criticised in India, fans in Pakistan did not have a problem, then in the new video, Hania’s embrace of Badshad angered everyone.
The video, posted as a story on her Instagram account, shows the actress enjoying a lighthearted moment with her close friend.
The interaction quickly went viral, drawing mixed reactions from social media users. While some praised the display of cross-border friendship, others criticized the actress for her casual demeanor with the Indian celebrity, sparking a heated debate across platforms.
A social media user wrote that ‘Hania Aamir has got more respect maybe that’s why she is willing to cross the limits now’, while another user wrote that ‘Hania Aamir should think about the religion you follow.
