By KARACHI: Reports have emerged suggesting that the computer science paper for 9th grade was leaked on social media platforms on the day of the exam, as per Geo News on Tuesday.
A spokesperson from the Board of Secondary Education Karachi (BSEK) expressed the board’s inability to verify the authenticity of the paper circulating on social media, stating that they are currently investigating the matter.
Reports indicate that the examinations for both 9th and 10th grades commenced on Tuesday. In response to the incident, the Chairman of BSEK has issued a stern directive prohibiting students from bringing mobile phones into exam halls, warning of confiscation in case of violation.

The morning session is dedicated to conducting exams for the science group, with the general group papers scheduled for the second shift.
Meanwhile, in a digital transition, the board office introduced online admit cards this year. Students can access their examination centers through these admit cards.
For those who missed the initial submission deadline, the spokesperson announced an extension until May 10 for submitting exam forms for 9th or 10th grades, subject to a late fee of Rs3,500. Additionally, any exams missed during this period will be rescheduled for a later date, the spokesperson clarified.
KP exam leak
Earlier, on April 24, there was a breach of security involving the leak of the Pakistan Studies exam question paper during the matriculation examinations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
The incident occurred under the oversight of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) in DI Khan and the Malakand Board, raising concerns about the integrity of the examination processes.
The KP exam leak incident did not stand alone; it was part of a sequence of prior leaks occurring on the 20 April, 22 April , and 23 April.
