Govt to Hold Ceremony on May 9 to Honour Martyrs

The federal government has decided to hold a special ceremony on May 9th to pay tribute to the martyrs. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has ordered to make arrangements in this regard.

According to details, the ceremony will be held at the Convention Centre Islamabad, where the families of martyrs will also be invited. Furthermore, members of the federal cabinet, civil and military leadership are also expected to attend the ceremony. According to reports, PM Shehbaz Sharif will address the ceremony and make an important policy statement.

On the other hand, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has also announced to hold rallies across different parts of the country on May 9. In a circular, signed by PTI Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan, as per instructions of former PM Imran Khan, the party will hold rallies across the country.

Furthermore, these rallies will be led by elected representatives, ticket holders and the party’s office-bearers. The party officials have been directed to hoist Pakistan and PTI flags on buildings on the occasion.

Placards featuring Imran Khan’s photo with the caption “Prisoner Number 804” will be prominently showcased, along with prayers for PTI ‘martyrs’ organized during the rallies.
