WEB DESK: The government has decided to increase the levy on petroleum products by Rs. 10, according to details.
In addition, the federal government has made this decision in the Finance Bill to generate an additional revenue of Rs. 1,281 billion.

The levy on petrol, high-speed diesel, and high-octane blending components has been increased to Rs. 70 per liter, contrasting with the current maximum levy of Rs. 60 per liter.
Furthermore, this initiative by the government is expected to yield an additional revenue of Rs. 1,281 billion for the fiscal year 2024-25.
