Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif announced on Saturday that the government plans to send 1,000 students to the Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Base in China.
This initiative aims to give students cutting-edge training in agriculture, equipping them with the latest skills and knowledge to benefit Pakistan’s agricultural sector.
The prime minister announced that the government would cover all expenses for the students.
According to a press release from the PM Office Media Wing, PM Shehbaz has ordered the Pakistani ambassador in China and other relevant officials to finalize the arrangements in consultation with Chinese authorities.
The prime minister also extended an invitation to the Northwest Agriculture and Forestry University to establish a campus in Pakistan, assuring the university of full support from the government.

During his visit to the Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Base, the prime minister toured various sections, including the Pakistani Pavilion showcasing local products.
He was briefed on the agricultural research conducted at the base, involving 26 cooperating countries, with Pakistan being a pioneer.
The prime minister also learned about the contributions of Pakistani scientists and universities to the research efforts.
