WEB DESK – In a shocking incident at a government educational institution in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a teacher subjected six students to severe violence, resulting in fractured arms. Despite restrictions on violence, students remain unsafe.
Incident Details
The violent incident took place at Government Primary School Ghareebabad, Tehkal, Peshawar. The teacher inflicted severe injuries on six students, causing fractures in their arms. According to local sources, the teacher targeted the students for not memorizing their lessons.
Lack of Disciplinary Action
Despite the severity of the incident, the education department chose to transfer the teacher involved rather than take disciplinary action. The District Education Officer, Peshawar, Safiullah, issued a notification condemning the violence against children at Government Primary School No. 2 Armar.
Official Responses
Arbab Zark, the elected member of the assembly for the constituency, expressed deep concern over the incident, calling for a thorough investigation to prevent such occurrences in the future.
Safiullah has formed a committee to investigate the incident, directing Janis Khan, Headmaster of Government High School Police Colony, to compile a report within three days. Further action will follow the report submission.
Education Department’s Stance
Samina Ata, Director of Education Directorate Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, confirmed the teacher’s transfer and the commencement of an investigation. She emphasized that no teacher has the right to inflict violence on children. Samina highlighted the urgent need for legal changes to prevent such incidents and promised swift action.
