The Sindh government, in collaboration with the World Bank, has unveiled a plan to provide complete solar systems to the public at a highly affordable price of only Rs7,000.

The purpose of this program is to provide affordable solar systems to households in Sindh to address energy challenges. As part of this initiative, 200,000 households in Sindh, including 50,000 in Karachi, will be able to acquire complete solar systems for just Rs7,000 each.

Each solar system provided through this initiative will be capable of powering a fan and three LED bulbs. According to the government of Sindh’s director (alternative energy), 6,656 solar systems will be distributed in every district of the province.

The project is scheduled to begin in October once the procurement process is completed, and each system package will include solar panels, charge controllers, and batteries.
