Gold prices in Pakistan continued their upward trend on Saturday, reflecting the increase in international rates.
In the local market, the price per tola rose by Rs400, reaching a new record of Rs266,300. The 10-gram rate also increased by Rs343, now standing at Rs228,309, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

On Friday, gold saw a sharp rise of Rs2,900, settling at Rs265,900. Globally, the price of gold surged, with rates hitting $2,577 per ounce (including a $20 premium), an $11 increase for the day.
Furthermore, silver prices, however, remained unchanged at Rs2,950 per tola.
