Pakistan’s gold prices increased on Tuesday, following global market trends. The price per tola surged by Rs1,100, hitting a new record high of Rs273,000, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).

This increase also impacted the price of 10-gram gold, which rose by Rs943, bringing the total to Rs234,053. On Monday, gold had dipped by Rs600, settling at Rs271,900.

International rates boost local gold prices

The surge in local gold prices aligns with a similar upward movement in international markets. According to APGJSA, the global gold rate was up by $11, with the metal trading at $2,628 per ounce, including a $20 premium.

Despite gold’s sharp rise, silver prices in Pakistan remained stable at Rs2,950 per tola.
