Gold price in Pakistan surged to a new record of Rs268,000 per tola, after breaching its all-time high mark three times in the previous week.

According to the latest figures from the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-carat gold increased by Rs1,700 per tola, reaching Rs268,000. Similarly, the price for 10 grams of gold rose by Rs1,458, hitting Rs229,767.Gold’s climb over the past week

Last week saw significant fluctuations in gold prices, reaching an all-time high of Rs264,000 per tola on September 11. This record was short-lived as prices jumped to Rs265,900 on September 13 and further to Rs266,300 per tola on September 14.
On the global stage, gold prices also experienced a surge, with spot gold rising 0.5% to $2,588.29 per ounce as of 0551 GMT. US gold futures climbed 0.2% to $2,615.80, reflecting the ongoing upward trend.
