Gambhir further suggested that Babar should focus solely on his batting and avoid captaining in league cricket, as winning the PSL wouldn’t add much value to his career.

During the conversation, Wasim Akram revealed that he had previously advised Babar Azam against taking on captaincy roles in league cricket. He added that Babar should focus on playing, scoring runs, earning his due, and then concentrating on preparing for the next major event.

Akram emphasized that captaining in league cricket only adds unnecessary pressure. It’s also noteworthy that Babar Azam experienced his first duck on home soil during the Rawalpindi Test match against Bangladesh.
