The Punjab government, led by PML-N, is set to roll out a new welfare initiative offering free travel for senior citizens, students, and individuals with disabilities. This program will cover major public transportation services, including the Orange Line, Metro, and Speedo buses.
The transport department, along with the Mass Transit Authority, has completed its preparations and is now awaiting the final go-ahead. The cities that will benefit from this initiative are Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi, where citizens can travel for free on Metro Bus and Orange Line systems.

A formal proposal detailing the initiative has been forwarded to the Cabinet Committee on Finance for approval.
