ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Federal Education in Pakistan is launching a foreign language programme in federal schools across Islamabad. This initiative, in collaboration with the National University of Modern Languages (NUML) and the National Vocational and Technical Commission (NAVTTC), will offer courses in Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Arabic, and German for students in Grades 9-12.
The programme aims to equip students of Islamabad schools with essential language skills, promote cultural understanding, and prepare them for the global economy of the 21st century. By focusing on enhancing students’ proficiency in these languages, the initiative seeks to improve career opportunities and foster cultural exchange.
