A female reporter’s video has gone viral on social media in which she can be seen reporting from knee-deep rainwater in Lahore.
The reporter showed the audience on-the-ground perspective of the severe urban flooding, which broke a 44-year-old rainfall record in the city.
She defended her choice to stand in the water throughout her report, revealing that the depth of the water was more than four feet.

She also described the water as “very smelly and chilly.”
In response to criticism from some government officials, the reporter emphasised that while the government may prefer to showcase a more favourable image, it is a journalist’s duty to present a balanced view.
