The head of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, has announced the complete rejection of the proposed draft of the 26th Constitutional Amendment.
According to details, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of JUI, stated that they have entirely rejected the government’s draft. Now it is being said that there is no draft from our side.
Moreover, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser said that JUI-F supremo Maulana Fazlur Rehman had rejected the draft of the 26th Constitutional Amendment on Wednesday.
In a media briefing in Islamabad, Qaiser expressed disappointment, noting that the draft was not shared with lawmakers even within the government.
Qaiser stated that PTI’s upcoming convention will focus on forming a joint strategy with Rehman, should he present any proposals. He highlighted the deteriorating law and order situation and reiterated the need for transparent elections.

Additionally, PTI senior leader Ali Muhammad Khan accused the current government of pursuing political goals and aligning with Rehman for strategic advantage.
Khan reflected on past differences with Rehman and expressed confidence that the alignment would benefit both parties. He underscored that political negotiations often involve even significant opponents.
