Father installs CCTV on daughter’s head for security

A Pakistani father has adopted an unusual method to ensure his daughter’s safety, a move that has quickly gained viral attention on social media.

In an extraordinary display of parental concern, the man affixed a CCTV camera to his daughter’s head to monitor her movements and protect her, sparking widespread discussion online. While it’s common for parents to take measures to safeguard their children, this case has raised eyebrows due to its unconventional nature.

In a viral video, the young woman is seen with the bulky camera mounted on her head as she explains the rationale behind the decision. According to the daughter, her father installed the device to track her activities and ensure her safety in public spaces.

When asked during the interview if she had opposed the idea, the woman responded that she had not. She confirmed her father’s intentions were solely to protect her, even likening him to a personal security guard watching over her through the camera’s lens.

The woman further revealed that her father’s decision was driven by a recent tragic incident in Karachi, where a woman was brutally killed. This event heightened her parents’ fears, prompting them to implement what they considered an “innovative” safety solution. She acknowledged that, given the dangers women face, her parents believed no one is truly safe.

The video was posted on X (formerly Twitter), captioned “next level security,” and has since amassed nearly 17,000 views. Social media users shared a mix of reactions, with one commenting, “Itna digital bhi nahi hona tha” (“There was no need to be this digital”), while another quipped, “SheCTV camera.” A third user noted, “Piche se marega to nahi dikhega” (“If someone attacks from behind, it won’t show”).
