Pak Suzuki has officially announced the discontinuation of the iconic Suzuki Bolan, popularly known as the “Carry Dabba,” marking the end of its production in Pakistan.
The vehicle, widely used for commercial purposes as a multi-passenger transport, has been a staple on the country’s roads for many years. Reports about its potential discontinuation had circulated for some time, but the company has now confirmed that no new Bolan units will be produced.
The announcement gained traction on social media after a photo surfaced showing an incomplete Bolan with a poster that read: “Bye Bye Y88V Bolan, End of Production and Last Chassis Number 01151691.” A company official confirmed to PakWheels.com that this was indeed the last batch of the Bolan.
Transition to Suzuki Every
The decline in sales of the Bolan, attributed to its outdated design and lack of modern safety features, has prompted Suzuki to look for a replacement. The Suzuki Every, a more contemporary and feature-rich minivan, is set to take the Bolan’s place.

The Suzuki Every, known as one of the most successful Kei microvans from Japan, carries the “Every” badge that dates back to 1961. Initially sold as the Suzuki Carry, it serves as the modern counterpart to the beloved Bolan, which, like the Mehran, has been on the market for an extended period.
The Suzuki Every was unveiled at a recent auto show, with its launch anticipated in mid-October, pending any import challenges. This shift reflects Suzuki’s commitment to providing more updated and safer vehicles for the Pakistani market.
