Earlier, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had predicted that Eid-ul-Adha would be celebrated on June 17 (Monday) across the country. It is pertinent to mention that the Establishment Division has already announced the Eid holidays from June 17 until June 19.
As most government offices remain closed on Saturday and Sunday, the Eid-ul-Adha holidays will extend to five days. However, if Eid is celebrated on June 18, then only three holidays are expected.
An official announcement regarding the holidays will be made by the federal government following the confirmation of the Eid date by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
