Punjab has reported 93 confirmed cases in the last 24 hours; the total number of dengue cases this year has risen to 1,724.
The spokesperson for the Punjab Health Department stated that measures are in place to address the increasing dengue cases.
Previously, Rawalpindi faced a significant outbreak, reporting the year’s highest single-day total of 110 positive cases, bringing the overall count to 960 patients since January 2024. This one-day increase aligns closely with the 54 dengue cases reported from Pothohar Town.
The District Health Authority Rawalpindi has released updated statistics showing that 185 patients are currently receiving treatment in allied hospitals.

The report also noted that 17 patients were reported from Rawalpindi Cantonment Board areas in the last 24 hours. In response, the District Health Authority has intensified its surveillance efforts to enhance public awareness and enforce compliance with dengue SOPs. CEO of the Health Authority, Dr. Asif Arbab Niazi, has taken an active role in promoting awareness and countering the outbreak.
