Dubai launches ‘long-term gaming visa’

Dubai has launched its Gaming Visa Initiative for content creators to explore employment and training opportunities in the gaming industry.

It is a joint effort between companies and academic institutions to attract talented individuals, artists, and creators to the UAE.

Dubai will be offering long-term cultural visas to skilled content creators through the Creative and Talented Accreditation Certificate. The Gaming Visa Initiative is part of

Dubai’s Program for Gaming 2033. It aims to create 30,000 jobs and a increase the GDP by $1 billion.

Requirements

To obtain the Creative and Talented Accreditation Certificate, interested individuals are required to submit their applications through the official website. They will receive email updates regarding status of their application following the submission of the application. The certificate will be issued once their application is approved.

Furthermore, authorities have also set an age limit to qualify for the Creative and Talented Accreditation Certificate. Applicants must be at least 25 years old and provide a copy of their passport along with a professional CV.

The Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, said that the Dubai Program for Gaming 2033 focuses on nurturing talent and attracting leading global technology companies.

The UAE government recently announced its ambition for Dubai to become a global gaming hub to rank among the top ten cities for game companies globally.
