Direct flights between Lahore and Tashkent will begin from next month in order to boost tourism and improve relations between Pakistan and Uzbekistan.
The big announcement was made by Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Alisher Tukhtayev.
Tukhtayev is a recently appointed ambassador to Pakistan. Before this post, he was serving as an adviser.
Pakistan and Uzbekistan share good and friendly relations.
Pakistan-Uzbekistan relations
Both government officials have visited eachother quite a few times during the last years.
Earlier this year, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar welcomed Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov in Pakistan.
