Demolition begins at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium for Champions Trophy 2025 upgrade

Demolition work on the enclosures at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium has commenced, with a deadline set for September 30 to finish the basement construction of the main building.

As part of preparations for the Champions Trophy 2025, upgradation efforts have begun at three venues, with Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore receiving the largest investment of Rs7.7 billion.

The plan includes demolishing the main building and completing the basement and water tank by September 30. Subsequently, one floor will be constructed each month, with the aim of having the building’s structure finalized by December 31.
