Farkhunda Farooq, a student from Taba 123 near Rahim Yar Khan, has achieved remarkable success by securing the top position in the intermediate examinations conducted by the Bahawalpur Intermediate Board.
Farooq, the daughter of a labourer, scored an impressive 1,084 marks in the Arts Group, bringing pride to her family and community.
Her academic journey was marked by significant challenges, as she commuted 25 kilometers daily from her village to the city to attend school. Despite these hurdles, Farooq remained steadfast in her pursuit of education.

In an interview, Farooq expressed her future aspirations, saying, “I want to become a police officer by passing the CSS exams.”
Her achievement has been celebrated by the District Police Officer (DPO) of Rahim Yar Khan, who extended official recognition to Farooq in a ceremony attended by her family. This acknowledgment has not only filled her family with pride but has also served as an inspiration for others in her community to strive for their goals, regardless of their socio-economic background.
