LAHORE: Renowned anchorperson Ayesha Jahanzeb and her husband have reached an agreement in a physical assault case, Express News reported on Friday.

During the hearing in Lahore’s session court, the judge noted the bruises on Ayesha Jahanzeb’s face, remarking, “It seems you have faced a lot of cruelty.”

The judge inquired, “Have you come with your own free will [for an agreement]?”

Ayesha Jahanzeb responded, “Whatever has happened is very cruel and should not happen to any woman, but I accept whatever the dignitaries have decided.”

“I do not want to follow the case; this decision has been taken in the presence of witnesses,” she added.

The court approved the agreement, stating that the decision to acquit her husband from the case would be based on the challan.

The matter surfaced on July 10 when photos of the host’s bruises went viral on social media.

In an interview with a private news channel, Ayesha Jahanzeb revealed that she had been subjected to domestic violence for nearly six months.

“This happened outside my home by my husband Haris Ali, and I still can’t figure out why he did this. I have been suffering at the hands of my husband, and I have serious injuries to prove it,” she stated outside a police station.

“I have tried my best to save this relationship,” she added.

When asked about the reason behind her husband’s inhumane behavior, Ayesha shared that he had secretly married another woman.

The video showed visible torture marks on Ayesha’s face as she claimed that this was the fourth incident of domestic violence she had faced this year.
