There has been a continuous rise in dengue cases in Islamabad, with reports indicating that the total number of affected individuals has surpassed 2,000.
In the past 24 hours alone, 85 new dengue patients have been reported showing dengue symptoms.
According to the State Department of Health (DHO), the total number of people affected by dengue in Islamabad is 2,361. Of these, 1,473 cases are from rural areas, with 23 new cases reported in the past 24 hours in those rural regions. On the other hand, the total number of people affected by dengue in the urban areas of Islamabad is 888, according to the DHO.
Dengue has affected 67 per cent of males and 33 per cent of females in Islamabad, according to the State Department of Health (DHO).
What are the symptoms of dengue cases?
Dengue is not contagious, and its symptoms include headache, muscle pain, nausea, vomiting, and fever. Precautionary measures include using mosquito repellent and covering your body with full clothing to prevent mosquito bites.
