By Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, met boxing legend Amir Khan and Pakistan’s Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter, Shahzaib Rind, at GHQ.
COAS appreciated both for their phenomenal achievements in the field of sports and expressed full confidence in Pakistan’s youth for their outstanding potential.
Last month, Rind knocked out Indian fighter Rana Singh instantly in the ‘Karate Combat’ held in Dubai.
After the fight, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan met Shahzaib and showered him with praise, acknowledging his remarkable agility and skill on the mat.
Rind hails from Balochistan, and after he clinched victory over his Indian counterpart, the provincial government pledged a government job, a handsome cash award of Rs2 million, and sponsorship for overseas training along with coverage of travel expenses
