Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz has directed a province-wide inspection of school buildings to ensure they meet safety and security standards.
As reported by ARY News, CM Maryam has ordered the immediate closure of schools operating under unsafe conditions and warned that strict action will be taken against institutions failing to comply with minimum safety regulations.
“The government is committed to addressing public concerns and resolving the issues faced by the people of Punjab,” CM Maryam stated, reaffirming her determination to bring positive change to the province. She also highlighted the importance of recognising good work, pledging her full support for rewarding exceptional performances within the education sector.
Crackdown on crime, corruption, and infrastructure improvement
In addition to education reforms, CM Maryam Nawaz has introduced new police reforms aimed at providing relief to the public and bolstering efforts against criminal activity. She has instructed the police to take strict measures against criminal elements and ensure the safety of citizens. “Firm action must be taken against those who threaten public safety,” she declared.

The CM has also initiated infrastructure development projects, including the repair and renovation of major roads in Muzaffargarh. A province-wide campaign to eliminate encroachments has been launched as part of her administration’s broader commitment to public welfare.
In a move targeting corruption, the Punjab government has vowed to take decisive action against corrupt officials within the Revenue Department. CM Maryam has ordered a crackdown on corrupt practices, signaling a no-tolerance policy towards dishonesty in public offices.
