Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Ayub has alleged on social media that Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Ali Amin Khan Gandapur is being held incommunicado by the Federal Government/ Establishment after being invited for a cup of tea.

In his statement on X, Ayub claimed that Gandapur’s security staff are currently untraceable and their phones are powered off.

Ayub described the current political environment in Pakistan as highly charged, revealing that the PTI’s party chairman and several Members of the National Assembly (MNAs) have been arrested.

He further stated that some MNAs are taking shelter inside the Parliament House, which is now surrounded by a heavy police presence. Ayub also accused authorities of filing false First Information Reports (FIRs) against the Leader of the Opposition and the Parliamentary Leader, suggesting that their arrests are imminent.

“These actions are being taken because PTI and our allies held a peaceful protest in Islamabad on September 8, 2024,” Ayub stated in his tweet.
