On Thursday, Chinese investors showed interest in establishing an electric bike manufacturing plant in Punjab.
A large delegation of Chinese investors met with Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain at the Punjab Investment Board. During the meeting, the group expressed their interest in establishing an electric bike manufacturing plant in Punjab.
The discussion also covered potential cooperation in technical education, IT, and the electric vehicle sector. Minister Hussain highlighted the government’s commitment to promoting electric vehicles to reduce environmental pollution.

He stated that the government plans to provide 10,000 electric bikes to university and college students and assured that all necessary support would be given to the investors.
He also talked about the strong industrial infrastructure available in Punjab’s industrial estates.
The minister expressed the government’s enthusiasm for welcoming Chinese investment in the electric vehicle sector and stated that the Punjab government is also working to promote solar energy.
