The Chaman Sit-In Committee on Sunday announced the conclusion of their prolonged protest after 272 days. This breakthrough was achieved following covert negotiations with key committee members of the sit-in committee.
The sit-in committee agreed to withdraw their demand for the reversal of the One Document regime in exchange for their release and the fulfillment of several peripheral demands:
- Completion of teacher appointments in all government schools.
- Availability of doctors in health facilities, with a focus on lady doctors and gynecologists.
- The Deputy Commissioner of Chaman is to hold periodic open courts (Khulli Kachahris) to interact with the common people and local notables, in addition to his current engagements with community leaders.
- Favorable legal relief for arrested local community members.
- Resumption of the Laghri Package to the taxi stand, by the Ministry of Development’s approved proposal for a temporary transit market at the taxi stand, subject to cooperation from TTA authorities.

The culmination of the Chaman sit-in was achieved through strategic engagements without any violation of the ODR. News reports suggesting that the sit-in ended due to the reversal of the ODR are inaccurate.
As of now, the main canopies and tents have been dismantled, and five containers have been cleared, with the last one currently being removed by a crane
