Cement prices in Pakistan have experienced a modest drop, driven by declining sales and increased taxes impacting the construction sector.

The reports indicate that the cost of a 50-kg cement bag has decreased by Rs20, now averaging approximately Rs1,500, as higher federal excise duties and new taxes take hold, affecting industries like mining, transportation, and construction.

BestWay Cement is priced between Rs1,530 and Rs1,550 per bag, while Pakcem and DG Khan Cement range from Rs1,520 to Rs1,530. Fauji Cement is available for Rs1,510 to Rs1,520, with Lucky and Cherat Cement slightly higher at Rs1,515 to Rs1,525. Maple Leaf Cement matches Pakcem and DG Khan Cement at Rs1,520 to Rs1,530, while Askari and Pioneer Cement are in the Rs1,510 to Rs1,520 range.
