Cash-strapped Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has decided to buy 32,000 kilograms of sugar to improve the tea service for passengers travelling domestically and internationally.
To procure the sugar, PIA management has issued a tender requiring the sugar to be 100 per cent pure and refined. Companies interested in the tender must submit 5-kilogram sealed samples.
Applications must be submitted by September 18, along with a pay order of Rs100,000.

Separately, Arif Habib, Chairman of the Arif Habib Group, has indicated that the privatization of PIA is expected to be completed by the first week of October 2024.
