CANNES: Preity Zinta made a dazzling return to the Cannes Film Festival, leaving a lasting impression as she presented the Pierre Angenieux ExcelLens in Cinematography award to renowned cinematographer Santosh Sivan.
The Kal Ho Na Ho actress was all smiles as she took to the stage to honour Sivan, showcasing her elegance in a white shimmery gown complemented by pearl earrings and a sleek updo. A boomerang video capturing Zinta’s graceful presence by the French Riviera quickly went viral online.
The appearance marks Zinta’s return to Cannes after her debut in 2006. In an interview with DD India, she expressed her excitement, saying, “It is amazing; we have a karmic connection. Now that I feel like taking 2 in my life, I have come back into movies with ‘Lahore 1947’ with Santosh. I got this opportunity to present this amazing, prestigious award to Santosh.”

Highlighting Sivan’s achievement, Zinta added, “He is not the first Indian, but the first Asian, to be given this award. So I feel great, and I am happy it’s me.”
On the professional front, Preity Zinta is set to collaborate with Santosh Sivan once again in Rajkumar Santoshi’s upcoming period drama, Lahore 1947, marking their reunion after a significant hiatus.
