ISLAMABAD (Azaad English): The 9th edition of the Women Tech Quest (WTQ) 2025 took place in Karachi, Islamabad, and Lahore on Saturday.

Organized by 10Pearls University, WTQ tested participants’ skills while also providing them a platform for growth. The event was held at the National Aerospace Technology Park (NASTP) in Karachi, National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Islamabad, and the University of Central Punjab (UCP) in Lahore.

WTQ was launched in 2017 dedicated to highlighting women in tech, providing them a platform to showcase their skills. Since then it has become a long-standing success in Pakistan.

Over 3000 women from different sectors of the tech industry attended the event. Women industry leaders shared their insights into the world of tech and business, highlighting how women have been leading various programs and that digital innovation had made these challenges easier.

Speaking at the event, Javeria Siddiqui, Chief Financial Officer at Feroze1888 Mills, suggested that women have multiple streams of income.

Addressing the Women Tech Quest 2025 sessions, the industry leaders encouraged women to lead the digital disruption in Pakistan. They noted that the e-commerce industry in Pakistan was booming and that women had a lot to gain from it.

As for the contest, it had six winners from each city, divided into three categories (testing, design, coding). Each category had two winners (one from the students, one from the professional sections).

All six of the winners won grand cash prizes along with shields and certificates.
