KARACHI: The price of gold in the country hit a historic high on Thursday with an increase of Rs1,600, aligning with gold prices in the international market.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, after this rise, the price of one tola of gold has reached Rs290,300 for the first time in history.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold was Rs248,885 after it recorded an increase of Rs1,372.
On the other hand, the price of gold in the international market has increased by $15, reaching $2,778 per ounce, with an additional premium of $20.
On Wednesday, the gold price in Pakistan was increased by Rs2,300 to settle at Rs288,700.
