WEBDESK (Azaad English): PI network’s PI coin has dropped 21 per cent in value in the past 24 hours. This comes after Bybit CEO Ben Zhou has rejected requests to list PI Network on Bybit.

This follows the announcement made by PI Network about their upcoming mainnet launch on 20th February 2025. The main idea behind the mainnet launch is to make PI coin a more accessible cryptocurrency and more usable for real-world transactions.

Zhou said that he had “some concerns regarding the project,” which caused confusion among the investors and caused the prices to drop sharply.

On Wednesday, Zhou revealed on X (formerly Twitter) that he had received multiple requests to list the PI network on Bybit. He shut down the idea of listing the PI network on Bybit by saying, “I’ll keep my distance, thanks.”

Despite Ben Zhou’s comments regarding the listing, OKX announced their plans for trading the PI token. While OKX is moving forward, other platforms are distancing themselves from the network. According to Chinese Crypto reporter Colin Wu, Bitget also removed some of its promotional content related to PI after previously announcing support.

In response to Ben Zhou’s comments, members of the crypto community see it as a wise move due to the debates around the topic.

PI Network’s supporters, however, argue that the negative reception is unnecessary. They claim that major exchanges are simply being cautious of PI’s launch strategy.
