WEB DESK: The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics reported that during the current fiscal year, exports from Pakistan to five Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, registered a minor increase in trade of 1.09 per cent.

As per the report, from July to October 2024, exports to these countries summed up to $67.11 million, while in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year, July to October 2023, it was only $66.38 million.

This increase represents an upward growth curve in the trade of Pakistan with Central Asia, and therefore, reflects the efficacy of regional trade policies and economic ties.

The PBS report stated that this 1 per cent rise in exports for the first four months of the fiscal year is a good trend for the overall export sector of Pakistan, especially in Central Asia.
