The price of gold on Monday fell by Rs900 per tola, bringing the price of the yellow metal to Rs283,400.

According to All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), The price of 10 gramme of gold has been decreased by Rs771, with 10-gramme gold being sold at Rs242,970 per tola.

In the global market, the gold by decreased by 9 dollars to 2,739 dollars per ounce.

The gold price in Pakistan reached highest level of Rs285,400 per tola.

In recent weeks, gold prices have seen a record increase due to rising demand for safe assets amid conflicts in the Middle East and uncertainty surrounding the upcoming US elections.
